Corn mazes have been around for over 20 years. As simple concept that is fun for farm visitors and a way for farms to make a few extra dollars in the fall. In the past few years, farmers and farm markets have begun using GPS units to create elaborate designs. Geocaching, using GPS units to locate hidden treasures, mixed with corn mazes has been the latest craze. Haunted mazes are also popular. Most corn mazes also have snack areas (apple cider, hot chocolate, etc) and farm markets, including pumpkings and corn stalks. Great for youth groups and schools trips.
